so baybeats 2008 is like over and done with
caught a few great bands, but was not as hard-core as last time where we would just be at esplanade for all 3 days and for long hours
i think this time round we only caught 4 bands and 2 artistes over at the chillout area
but yay! all the 4 bands were good
and i found the music i’ve been looking for for like the past months
its ABUSE THE YOUTH! thats the sound i’ve been looking for!
they wonderfully put it across
and a female hardhitting drummer is seriously a rather refreshing presence which acts to the already great showmanship displayed by the band
love it love it
im gonna try and get my hands on their album coming out in 2 months
and i thought baybeats this time round would be boring without A Vacant Affair
but oh wells,
changes are great, but yes i do miss the old times

the exams finally ended
but my post-exam plan was sucha flop on friday
today was better!
i finally gym-ed
and i swear its not easy at all after a week of slacking
the first rep felt so bad!
but anyway, we head down to esplanade for baybeats in the afternoon, like gf and i
caught one set by this band called Midnight Marvel? im not too sure about the name, but yeah i think it is
they were pretty good, i must say, something different from all the indie acts
then there was this angmoh guy who had this one man band kinda thing
he pre-recorded his stuff like the electronic keyboard and all and he plays a guitar to his recordings and sing. good vocals, interesting concept, i like

anyway, we got caught in the rain! because of that bloody citylink staff! he told us to use the stairs to the MRT cause there was a serious jam at citylink. “STAIRS TO MRT” i stress, that is what he said word for word
in the end, the stairs led us to an open area that is across the road from the mrt
oh god, we were so drenched!

she knows i frequent a gay club, she seen my image, she suspect that i’ve a girlfriend. i dont know whats stopping her from accepting the facts
and after today, she met cpl! hahaah and she say aj looks like a guy really! so yeah, whats stopping you mom?
but aya, i dont wanna disappoint either, i can live with that.

i want the week to end now!
i want to wake up and then realise that this is a long dream,
that i’ve already sat for my exams and ive prepared pretty darn well for it
isnt it everybody’s dream?

im this close to going crazy. im hungry and there’s nothing to eat at all and im far from the halfway mark of revision.

hahaha i miss secondary school days
met up with pam to study, its so un-fruitful but whatever, we caught up with one another and nothing has changed really. usual bitching and all.
hannah came later and it just felt so good, the three of us doing very different things and getting together again.
i mean, you know our clique is close but we can live without seeing one another for awhile

so anyway, its all planned out! and i cant wait for exams to end!
because it will be sushi buffet with pam and hannah and then off to club like crazy.
with internship and all, this hols is gonna pass real quick.

i miss you guys! havent been seeing you all but i’ll be back!

pam (in a drunk tone): I’M OK! its them! they are not ok they are drunk.. must take care of them

(note: “them” refers to dinesh who’s sober and hannah who’s just high)

me!: eee smelly! i heard you puke over yourself..
pam: im not smelly! i never puke! im not drunk! you’re the one thats smelly i can smell you from here!
me!: oh really?! what do i smell like?
pam: ACID!
me!: why acid?!
pam: cause you’re in some science course
me!: so are you!
pam: no im not

poor girl.. cant even remember which course you’re from! hahaha anyway i wasnt smelly and i wasnt smelling of acid definitely! i was MUGGING ok! but anyway, it was a good 5 mins break.

first paper is tomorrow!

ok but you know what, i figured i shouldnt panick for tmr’s paper because the worst is yet to come
i seriously doubt i’ve time for pathology and haematology
because im just so caught up with genetics and anp
see, this is what i called poor prioritising. but then again, sometimes i feel like i dont give a shit about exams or whatsoever
in fact, im fucking tempted to go to play tomorrow!
why oh why am i so easily tempted

anyway, its funny how the old fella keeps tagging grace’s blog still

thursday was random and crazy
we went down to play with like a relatively small group
and at some point, it was just me, hannah and grace
hahaha because we are THAT random, everyone couldnt make it i guess
we kick start the night with 2 jugs of asahi because it was 1 for 1
and it got us a bit tipsy
after that juli got us absinthe and trust me the kick is fucking slow
i actually felt a-okay for awhile
when it got into my head, its like oh-my-god, serious
everything was fading out faster than i could handle
i couldnt remember anything for awhile and then it started wearing out
but it couldnt wear out in time because ED was there! ahahaha she was shoving jugs of i dont know what in my face
and i just sip sip sip and its stuck in my head
even when i got home, i stank of alcohol.. omg!

i feel baddddddddd. i need to switch to full-time studying mode soon enough.
and i want the paul frank shirt! i already petition to my mom already and she was like go thailand and buy la!
oh dear mom! im talking about designer shirts! -.-

ok here’s how screwed i am!
i just figured that pathology test is this week
i so havent started and im still struggling with gems test

caught a super late batman movie yesterday and to my surprise, the cinema was packed
at close to midnight!
but the show’s real good, so i guess it explains
so while rotting during the 5.5hrs wait for the show to start, kitty kitty brought us to the preview lounge and seriously, its a damn good place to slack
or maybe, we just needed a change of venue from the spinelli/gloria jeans usual but it like you can get the full view of whats below cine.
anyway, i think kitty kitty spent too much! so lets go budget i dont care!
i just mentioned to my dad about the thailand trip. he said its not because he doesnt trust cpl, its because IM VERY BLUR!
